Skills learned are very important Language Arts is a very important class that teaches skills we will always need, including spelling. They help us excel in our everyday life. Without language skills, you wouldn’t be watching this PowerPoint today.
Spelling is getting worse Thanks to texting, spelling has been getting worse in students. Short cuts used for texting are harmful to a students spelling. Children of our generation are more prone to committing spelling mistakes ever since texting has reached its peak.
A skill used for a lifetime As stated before, this skill will be used forever, although some people don’t realize it. Language includes grammar, spelling, reading, writing, and speaking. Mark Bauerleine, an author, discovered that verbal and language intelligence is flat-lining on IQ and other tests.
Terrible grammar Language arts is the class where we get all of our grammar skills. Without this class, people would be walking around without knowing the correct way to speak. Wouldn’t that get annoying?
Fail in other classes Pronunciation is needed for others to understand you. Take History class for example. We learn vocabulary words that are in different languages, including Greek and Roman. If you can’t pronounce the words correctly, you won’t learn them.
