  2. Project Purpose • Increase content accessibility • Flexible content retrieval • Data preservation and sustainability • Multiple format publishing

Site Functionality • Provide flexible access to multimedia content related to the publication • Content relationships and metadata driving search, (possibly facetted) browsing and navigation • Content formatted for presentation and for archival purposes • Some aggregation functions will be available • Various output formats • Possible integration with SUP eStore

  4. Infrastructure (Hardware) • Application server – HP DL 380 • Storage – SAN (ICT) • Streaming server – to be determined

  5. Infrastructure (Software) • Web server – Apache httpd v2.0 • Servlet container – Apache Tomcat 5.5 • Application framework – Cocoon 2.1.10 • Archival storage – DSpace 1.4.2 (+ handle server) • XTF (lucene-based) search engine

  6. Content • Text – TEI XML • Audio – mp3 and wav • Video – mov and mpg • Images – maps, still photography, musical/dance notation
