2. Background Info. The CFL bulbs are better to use for the environment instead of the incandescent light bulbs >> It uses 65% less electricity to make the same amount of light as a regular light bulb called comparable incandescent bulb.
3. Hypothesis If everyone in my environment would change to CFL bulbs, then I think the electricity bill will go lower.

What I Learned If a standard light bulb uses 40 watts, a CFL bulb uses 10 watts Some fluorescent light bulbs flicker when they are turn on because it takes a few seconds for the ballast to get enough electricity CFL bulbs can last 8,000-10,000 hours or more. If you use an incandescent light bulb, you’ll get only 1,000 hours. CFL bulbs have to be disposed correctly There is a white powder inside the CFL bulb called, “phosphor”
7. What I learned (continued) 90% of the energy used of an incandescent light bulb mainly produces heat, instead of light. With CFL bulbs is electricity passed through the bulb which creates a chemical reaction that produces light, not heat. CFL bulbs contain a small amount of mercury Every watt of energy a person uses can be translated to pollution
