I am an average earth friend • Things I am good at to save energy • I take quick showers • I turn off lights that are not in use • I don’t let the water run while brushing my teeth • I bring my own bags to the store • I put litter in the trash • I ride my bike instead of asking for a ride • Things I am not good at to save energy • I do not keep windows closed when the heat or air is on • I do not recycle • I don’t reuse old items • And I don’t encourage my family carpool
Reuse Reduce Recycle • The thing I want to make with a 2 litter soda bottle is a bird feeder thingy like to left in the picture. So I would be reusing a soda can, reducing the amount of trash, and recycling.
The 3 R’s R 1. I could turn off the lights when I am not home or when I am going somewhere. R 2. Instead of throwing everything in the trash I could recycle it. R 3. Instead of sitting on the computer , or Xbox 360 , or just watching TV all day I could go outside or play a board game or even clean up the yard.
Recycling 1-ton of paper saves how many trees • Recycling 1-ton of paper saves 24 trees in total, so if we started recycling more you will save millions of trees. Think about how much paper you use and then think about how many trees got cut down to do that.
