  1. Making Effective • PowerPoint Presentations • Try not to type too much on the slide. • Only type what is most important. • Be careful with colors. Example. • Don’t use picture backgrounds. Example. • Be careful with animations/transitions/effects. • Remember to keep it simple.

  2. Works Cited • General Information • Needs a title at the top that says “Works Cited” (without quotes) • Do not put the title in bold/italics/underline • Use Times New Roman font • It should be double-spaced • Use a hanging indent of .5 inches

  3. Making a Citation Plug your book information into the citation format below: Author Last Name, First Name. “Title of Poem.” Title of Book or Collection. Editor (Ed. Joe Schmo). City of Pub: Publisher, Date of Pub. Pages. Medium. *Be sure to use quotes for the title of the poem and italics for the title of the book it came from. Use the correct punctuation you see in the format above. The medium will be print. There may not be an editor. See the next slide for an example.
