  2. About Mr. Gorley • Born and raised in Western Washington. • Received a B.A. in Business Administration from Washington State University. • Received a Masters in Teaching from Washington State University. • Third year at Cuthbertson

  3. Class Expectations • Be on time to class • Write homework down! • Be prepared • Participate and show effort • Ask questions and contribute • Respect others

  4. Class work • Spiral Notebooks for Math • Students will learn how important it is to keep notebooks organized. • Class work is a mix of whole group, small group and independent study.

  5. Homework • Can always be found on my Moodle page. • Given almost every day. I like to give students in class time to work on what we’ve learned that day, so they may finish in class. • Please check your child’s agenda or Google Calendar!

  6. Tests / Quizzes • Tests will be announced in advance through Remind101, on my Moodle page, and in class • A study guide/practice test will be provided for most tests. • Test corrections (69% or below) are given to students who do not perform well on the tests the first time. • One to two quizzes are given per week. They are short assessments on current material.

  8. Extra Help • Thursdays from 8-8:30am • Please try and have your child here on time • I will also send you an e-mail if I think extra help is necessary • Students need to have something specific for me to help them with • A note is needed to get down the hall

  9. Your To-Do List • Sign and return all required forms in the envelope as soon as possible • Go to my Moddle page and fill out the Parent Contact Information Form – will be ready next week • Register for Remind 101
