  1. New Monkland Primary School November 2010 Newsletter Message from the Head Teacher Please visit us at: www.newmonkland.n-lanark.sch.uk Dear Parents/Guardians, Our Open Evening on the 7th October ‘10 was a huge success. Many thanks to the parents who took time to complete evaluations. We have looked closely, as a staff, at all evaluations completed and will use your comments when planning future events in the school. Extracts from evaluations completed include: Is there anything you would have changed about the evening? “”Great welcome by the staff - wouldn’t expect anything else. Gold Star” “No it was very enjoyable” “No it was fun” “No well organised and worthwhile” Any other comments or suggestions? “”Keep up the great work” “The school has been excellent, has really put our minds at ease” “The children have obviously worked very hard and it’s wonderful to see their work” “More kids activities” “It was good to see the work they have done in the short while they’ve been at school” “I enjoyed the night, it was very informative” Parental Consultation Evening is on Thursday 11th November ‘10. This meeting will provide you with the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with the class teacher and view their class work. Please note that there is no available parking in the school grounds (with the exception of disabled drivers). Enterprise The pupils in Primary 4 are once again making the Dogs Trust the focus of their Enterprise. PLEASE CAN YOU HELP? We are looking for donations of old towels, sheets, blankets or curtains. These are used to dry the dogs and keep them clean especially at this time of the year. Items can be brought to school by your child or handed in to the office by Friday 19th November. Thank you. Primary 4 Enterprise Team Parental Consultation
