Brief History about this Application • Some of the Bus AC OEM’s started using MDI 3200 Engine of Mahindra Auto Division during end of 90’s on trial basis. Initially some Peugeot Engines were used on this Application, which later on replaced by DI Engines. • 3200 Engines were instant hit for this Application due to Low noise/ Low Vibration & Good fuel economy.
3200 Engine on this Application • Working Basics -- We offered MDI 3200 Water cooled Naturally aspirated Engine on this Application. Engines are connected to AC Compressor as well as Alternators on this Application thru. Common pulley and both are Belt driven. • Compressor is used for Cooling, where as Alternators are used to provide power to Fans for Forced Circulation of Cold Air through system. • We are selling these Engine’s thru. OEM’s like Sidwal, Spharos, Trans ACNR, Eberspatcher etc.
Product Features • This engine is very robust and suitable for this application. • This Engine meets Bharat Stage –II emission standard but presently No Norms applicable for Aux/Side Mounted Engines on such kind of applications. • Engine is designed to operate on High Idle of 3200 but on this application Engine is operating on 1600-1700 RPM. • Engine is capable to take sudden load and jerks due to reserve power.
Scope of Supply (M&M) • 3200 Engine of 58 HP @3200 RPM is being supplied along with following – • Std. Oil Filter/Fuel Filter • Starter motor 12 V, Alternator 12V • Radiator • Radiator Fan • Air Filter Scope of Supply (OEM)

FSC & Forth Coming Models • As mentioned in Warranty Schedule 1 visit for Comm. & 3 Free Services are offered to Customer for this application but FSC utilization is very poor due to non-awareness amongst Customers. • Proto Batch of some 575 Engine Model also being given in field for testing on similar application.
