  2. Fine Arts Program rated Exemplary Resaca Elementary students participated in poetry performances, the Red Ribbon rally, Christmas parade, Winter Haven, Charro Days parade, and school STAAR Rally. Resaca Elementary

  3. Wellness and Physical Education Programs rated Exemplary The Resaca Elementary Running Club participated in many races and had many teachers and students receive awards. The team also participated in an Autism Awareness Event. Resaca Elementary

  4. Community and Parental Involvement rated Recognized Resaca Elementary parents received training on strategies to help their children at home. The parents were invited to attend the Launching Literacy Event featuring authors. Parents also learned to access online resources to use with their children. The parent meetings were held bimonthly on Tuesdays. Resaca Elementary

  5. 21st Century Workforce Development rated Acceptable Resaca Elementary invited community members to speak about their professions, such as, Dr. Carl Montoya, BISD Superintendent, Veronica Garza, accountant, Mr. Ramirez, Custom’s Agent, and Emmanuel Galvan, martial arts instructor. Resaca Elementary

  6. Second Language Acquisition Program Exemplary Resaca Elementary students participated in the Charro Days parade, Charro Days School Presentation, and Halloween events to support second language acquisition. Resaca Elementary

  7. Digital Learning Environment rated Recognized Resaca Elementary teachers received Professional Development on technology applications such as Tango Central, Elastic Beanstalk, Etazo, Tango Trends, Compass Odyssey, Think Through Math , Edusmart, Living with Science, Istation, and E-books. Resaca Elementary

  8. Dropout Prevention Strategies rated Exemplary Resaca Elementary receives recognition for student attendance the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th Six Wks. Resaca Elementary students earn Wampum's for attendance and redeem them for prizes. Resaca Elementary

  9. Gifted and Talented Program rated Recognized Resaca Elementary gifted and talented students participated in the Chess Club, Spelling Bee, and U.I.L. programs such as Number Sense, Oral Reading, Ready Writing, Art, Music Memory, Spelling Bee and NASA Camp. Resaca Elementary
