From Terry McSweeney – South West Queensland "The AusTouch program in South West Qld has produced a significant benefit to the junior ranks in our region through introducing new players to Touch and improving the skill level of the current junior participants.  Another flow on benefit is that a good percentage of leaders from the program have continued to assist in association junior competitions.  Many of the leaders were parents who just attended the competitions to watch their child play but now coach, help with administration and volunteer to assist with representative teams as coaches or managers. Prior to running the AusTouch program it was difficult for a number of associations to field representative teams across all the age divisions through lack of volunteers but now some associations have more coaches and managers than required to attend these events."
