  6. What does off road recreation have to do with it? As a result of their recreational activities off roaders: • Are a recruitable population for fire fighting • Have vehicles capable of navigating the terrain • Have the skill to operate them • Have knowledge of the terrain and trails • Keep the trails open and passable • Can quickly make an emergency extraction • Open trails create a fuel break • Ground crews are essential to air suppression • Volunteers are needed for emergency social services

How will we control access? • GPS data logger • Electronic padlock access control • Estimated cost ~ $150 p/pair • ~ $300 p/lock • GIS trail mapping integration possible • System admin could potentially create an employment position • at SeaParc • Wildfire preparation has $5000 budget • Community Grant funding
