  2. Bell Ringer • Lisa’s dog ran to Lisa, jumped on Lisa, and stole a cookie from Lisa.

  3. Objective • To identify the object of a preposition when the object is a pronoun. • CCSS – 6.L.1

  4. When using a pronoun after a preposition, the pronoun must be in the objective case (object pronoun) So, the prepositional phrase starts with a preposition and ends with the object pronoun. Object of preposition preposition The parade went on despite (she, her) not being there

  5. There was a huge chocolate birthday cake just waiting for (she, her). Over (they, them), there was a very dark and menacing cloud bringing yucky snow, again. Herman’s dog, Roger, brought the dead squirrel treasure to (he, him). Mrs. Birdsong chose the chatty girls instead of (we, us).
