Caution • He, she, and it take the place of just one noun. • We and they take the place of more than one noun. • You takes the place of just one noun or more than one noun if you are referring to a group.
Example • Belle greeted the family at the castle. • becomes • She greeted the family at the castle. • Belle is replaced with the pronoun she.
Example • The town crier is with Cheryl. • becomes • He is with Cheryl. • The town crier is replace with the pronoun he.
Example • The sign was so funny to read. • becomes • It was so funny to read. • The sign is replaced with the pronoun it.
Example • Colin and Christian love to have breakfast with Pooh. • becomes • They love to have breakfast with Pooh. • Colin and Christian are replaced with the pronoun they.
