What does BUZZING look like? • All members of the group can see each other. • One person speaks at a time. • The listeners look at the speaker. • Members listen to understand what the speaker is saying. • When the speaker is finished talking, each member shares thoughts or questions. • The next member takes a turn.

  3. READ ALOUD! “The Two Brothers” by Leo Tolstoy While I read, you should be: • Quiet • Sitting Up Straight • Listening to the story

  4. Responding to the Story(Time to Buzz…) • What were some of the advantages of the younger brother going into the forest? What were some of the disadvantages? • Which brother do you identify with more? Why? • This story contains many proverbs: • “A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.” • “Beneath a stone no water flows.” • “He who is afraid of the leaves must not go into the forest.” • “In seeking great happiness small pleasures may be lost.” Create a chart to record your buzz
