  2. Network of European LGBT Families Associations NELFA aisbl • Network created 1st of May 2009 • NELFA was incorporated under Belgian law as an international non-profit association (AISBL) on 12th March 2012. • The official NELFA headquarters are located in the Rainbow House in Brussels.

  8. Universal Periodic Review Your Country ? Universal Periodic Review (or “UPR”) is a new mechanism of the UN Human Rights Council, set up as part of the reform of the UN human rights system. The UPR affords a unique opportunity not only to raise awareness of LGBT issues, but also to get governments to commit to concrete recommendations, especially since NGOs have a number of opportunities to be involved throughout the UPR process.   10. Grundtvig 2 years EU-Project “Being an LGBT Parent as an Expereince of Democracy and active citizenship.” Partners: Italy, Portugal, Finland, Switzerland and Greece

Grundtvig Aim Aim of the project and of the partnership is to educate the lgbt parents to practise the active citizenship at a European level, struggling for equal rights and dignity for their families in a supranational dimension. The project will help the partner associations and their volunteers to develop a better understanding of civic partecipation and of their active citizenship in a European context.
