NAVIGATION (NAV) • FINDS COMET ENCKE, TRIANGULATES THE COMET AND IDENTIFIES THE PROPER COORDINATES FOR THE PROBE TO MEET THE COMET • Strong math skills, gives and follows directions well, works well in a team
MEDICAL (MED) • PERFORMS MUSCLE , VISION, AUDITORY AND HEART RATE TESTS ON THEMSELVES AND OTHER ASTRONAUTS • Has an interest in the medical profession, strong reading skills, works well in a team
PROBE • ASSEMBLES A 10 PIECE PROBE BY IDENTIFYING THE PROBE PARTS AND THEIR FUNCTION, RECORDING THE WEIGHTS OF THE PARTS AND PREPARING THE PROBE FOR DEPLOYMENT • Problem solver, likes to build, gives and follows directions well, can complete work within a time frame, works well in a team
REMOTE A (REM) • WORKS IN A GLOVE BOX PUTTING 4 METEORODS THROUGH A SERIES OF TESTS FOR PROPER IDENTIFICATION • Strong observation skills, likes to work in a glove box, strong reading skills, works well in a team
LIFE SUPPORT (LS) • IDENTIFIES THE CURRENT HUMIDITY, AIR PRESSURE TEMPERATURE AND Ph OF THE WATER IN THE SPACE STATION, CHANGES THE AIR FILTER WITHIN 5 MINUTES AND CHECKS THE FLOW OF THE OXYGEN SYSTEM • Strong problem solving skills, can read dials and meters, strong reading skills, works well in a team
ISOLATION (ISO) • WORKS WITH A ROBOTIC ARM TO PICK UP CHEMICAL BOTTLES, METEOROD PANELS OR RADIATION FILTERS • Strong eye-hand coordination, patient, likes to work alone
REMOTE B AND C (REM) • WORKS IN A GLOVE BOX TO EXTRACT CHLOROPHYL FROM A PLANT SAMPLE, ANALYZES RADIATION LEVELS AND COMETARY DUST • Strong observation skills, likes to work in a glove box, strong reading skills
PRESS • INTERVIEWS FELLOW TEAMMATES , TRIES ALL JOBS WHILE IN THE SPACE STATION TO GATHER MORE INFORMATION , GIVES POST MISSION BRIEFING BACK IN THE CLASSROOM • Strong communication skills, likes to conduct interviews, strong writing skills, good verbal skills to give post briefing, camera(optional)
