  9. DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING ASSET: Association of Sphoorthy Software Engineers and Technocrats. The Association of Computer Science and Engineering students were formed in the year 2007 as a forum for the students of the computer engineering Department to come together and interact. Since its initiation ASSET has grown into a successful Platform for students to develop their hidden talents. The event had technical as well as non technical events comprising of C programming, Paper Presentation, Mini Project Exhibition, Quiz, Graphics Design, Photography contest. Member of Prestigious bodies like CSI, ISTE, IEEE, etc.,

DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS &COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING Separate Computer Labs of the Department has upgraded software like MATLAB/MODELSIL, MULTISIM, TASM, Keil Microvision, Embedded Software ECLIPSE and Xilinx . Establishing VLSI back end design tools: CADENCE/ SYNOPSYS The Students Association - SPACE - Sphoorthy Professional Association for Communication Engineers which organizes various technical events like Robotics, Model Presentation, Poster Presentation, Paper Presentation and Mini Project Competition etc., Member of Prestigious Association IETE

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPIRIT - Sphoorthy Integrated Rejuvenators of Information Technology The Association of Information Technology Students was formed in the year 2007 as a forum for the students of the IT Department to come together and interact. Since its initiation SPIRIT has grown into a successful platform for students to develop their hidden talents. It had been conducting various technical events, seminars and competitions for providing the over growth of the students.

  12. DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING: The Department of Mechanical engineering is designed to provide the fundamental technical knowledge and practical exposure in a wide spectrum of areas related to Product Design, Manufacture thermal systems, Industrial Engineering and Automation.

  14. DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING The B. Tech Civil Engineering Program is designed to produce competent engineers who can contribute effectively to the advancement of civil engineering causes and to take care of the needs of the community. The students have a scope to work with Government Organizations such as PWD, Highways, Railways, Airways, Water Resources etc, Construction companies such as L&T, HCC, GMR, BSPCL, NCC, etc.,

R AND D CELL Research and Development Cell was inaugurated on 15th August, 2011 to involve the students in Research and endow required expertise in their subjects, familiarity with the field, competence in methodology, technical skills in collecting and analyzing the data. A Robotic Club has been established to encourage the innovative ideas by providing funds to the Students.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES: A Faculty Development Programme was organized by Wipro Mission 10X on “High Impact Teaching skills” during 16th to 20th May, 2011. 32 Faculty Members were trained from the programme. Two days FDP was organized on 29 and 30 June, 2011 at Rama Krishna Mutt and 52 Faculty Members have taken the benefit. On 1st July, 2011 A Seminar on “Seven Habits of Highly effective Teacher” was organized and the Guest Speaker was Prof.A. Ramakrishna Prasad, Director, UIIC, JNTUH. A Personality Development Programme on “Mind and Body Management”, “Stress Management “ and “Confidence – key to success” was organized in collaboration with Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence, Ramakrishna Matt, Hyderabad was organized from 30th June to 2 July, 2011 for non teaching staff. A Faculty Development Programme was organized by Wipro Mission 10X Advanced Workshop on 12th and 13th August, 2011. 30 faculty members were selected for the programme. The Principal Organized a Seminar on “What is Research? How to publish Research Paper” to the Faculty Members on 24/09/11. A Faculty Development Programme has been arranged on 22/12/2011 by Dr.B. Mukhopadhyaya, Retd. Professor and Head, Department of Educational Management and Applied Psychology, NITTTR, Chennai on “Counseling the students”.

  31. OTHER INSIGHTS A Talent Hunt show was conducted by Times of India, Best Male and Female Students Fresh Face of Hyderabad on 7th January, 2012. 3 Boys and 3 Girls students are qualified for Finals.

  32. OTHER INSIGHTS A Seminar on “Sankranthi Vaibhavam and Dhi Shakti” was organized by Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel at the College Campus on 09/1/2012 and all the students actively participated and presented views on given issues and the programme has been specially telecasted on 16/01/2012.
