OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES: • Develop the students’ leadership skills and build their personality through workshops and sessions on personality development. • Bridge the Industry-Institution divide through industrial tours. •  Facilitate the students with proper insights, so that they understand the dynamics of the corporate business environment, by giving them a number of practical assignments. • Provide the students with proper practical exposure and counseling to help them build a proper career. :

  12. The Department of Management Studies has been an Institutional Member of Hyderabad Management Association from the Academic Year 2011-12 onwards which facilitated Faculty Members and Students to participate in various Seminars/Workshops. DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES

  13. 17th December, 2011 marked an important event in the History of Department of Management Studies, which welcomed students from all walks of management by organizing an Inter-Collegiate Management Festival, SAVYASAACHI’11. The Students of MBA showcase their abilities in approaching sponsors and raised Cash sponsorship to an amount of Rs.33, 000 and Rs.10, 000 worth of Gift Sponsorship for Organizing the Event. The students further proved their competencies through wide promotion of the Event to different colleges and by which the event was successful with about 800 participants from 90 different colleges in the Event. Prof. Dr. A. Rama Chandra Aryasri graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the Valedictory Function.

STUDENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME • A Student Development Programme in association with Hyderabad Management Association was organized on 19/1/2011 on “Media Platforms for Advertising – A Growth story” Mr. Rama Rao, Marketing Head and Mr. Ramesh Vemuganti, President, Hyderabad Management Association were the Chief Guest of the day.

  16. A Seminar on “Retail Revolution in India” in association with Indian Retail School was organized on 15/9/11 for MBA II Year Students

  17. Workshop on “Communication Skills and Personality Development” was organized on 16/11/11 for MBA I and II Year Students in collaboration with Speakeazy

  18. A Seminar was organized on 22/11/11 for MBA I and II Year Students on “Motivation”, Mr. Jeevan Gupta, Uni-why Society is the Speaker.

  19. Guest Lecture on “HR Strategies” was delivered by Mr. S.J.S.N. Kishore, Managing Director, Elina Informatics to MBA I and II Year Students, on 10/12/11

  20. A Seminar on “Professional Development of MBA Students” was organized for MBA I and II Year Students on 21/12/11, Dr. Maha Gingrich, Dean, Marketing Services and Customer Relations, Pedmount University, Charlotte, USA was the Speaker of the day.

  21. A Workshop on “Goal Setting” was organized for MBA I and II Year Students on 11/1/12, Mr. V.V. Sanyasi Rao, FAPCCI, was the speaker of the day.

  22. MBA I and II Year students attended, “Entrepreneurship Development Programme” at National Small Industries Corporation on 14th March, 2012.

  23. A workshop on SAP was organized by Technopad for MBA I and II Year Students

  24. A Workshop on “ SUCCESS IN INTERIVIEWS” organized by Detloittte STARS

  25. INDUSTRIAL VISITS

  26. The students of MBA II Year visited “Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology”, Hyderabad on 17/11/11.

  27. The students of MBA II Year went for 1 day training and survey to Big Bazaar, Spencers, More, Metro outlets to observe different models and strategies of Retail Management.

  28. The Students of MBA I year visited “Hindustan Unilever Limited” , Modern Foods at Uppal Industrial Area.

  29. STUDENTS' ACHIEVEMENTS

  30. The students of MBA Participated in Inter-Collegiate Management Festival, “Amogha” at Sree Datta Engineering College on 5th and 6th January, 2012 and won the following prizes:

  31. MBA I Year Students also won I Prize in “Quiz competition” organized by Anna University, in an Event named Xceed, and won Rs.5000 Cash Prize. ( In the same event 2 ECE II Years Students won Rs.3,000 Cash Prize and 2 ECE III Years Students won Rs.2,000 Cash Prize) MBA I Year Student Ms. Divya Reddy won II Prize in Paper Presentation Competition at Management Meet organized by St. Peter’s Engineering College.

Attended a Seminar on “Skill development in India - Challenges and Opportunities”on 15th October, 2011 at FAPCCI, Hyderabad, Speaker :Mr J A Chowdary, Co-founder & Executive Chairman, Talent Sprint & Chairman, Monarch Infotech Services Private Limited Attended a Student Development Programme on “Management Student to a Corporate Manager - a Transformation” on 18/10/11 at Amjad Ali Khan College of Business Administration, Hyderabad. Speaker : Mr Ravi Mantha, CEO & MD, S V Lead & Strategy Attended a Student Development Programme on “Nurturing Innovation for a Management Student - The Art & the Need” on 20/10/11, at Aurora’s Business School, Hyderabad. Speaker: Mr. Bindu Madhav, Motivational Trainer and Speaker. Attended a Workshop on “Management Skills to Source Financing & Management of Technologies by SMEs” on 22/10/11 at FAPCCI, Hyderabad. WORKSHOP DIRECTOR, Dr J S Juneja, Chairman, Task Force SME, All India Management Association Attended a Student Development Programme on “Challenges for a Management Graduate Today” on 5/11/11, at JB Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. Speaker: Mr PM Nanjappa, Senior Vice President – HR, Advanta India Ltd. Attended a Lecture meeting on “How can a Manager deal with Stress innovatively & Deliver” on 21/12/11at FAPCCI, Hyderabad.
