  2. Monday • Catch up from Week 2!

  3. Tuesday • Act 1: Write about a school dance or school activity. • Act 2(homework): Write sentences for vocabulary words. Include in your sentence clues to the meaning of the word. • Read “The Red Dress

  4. Tuesday • Act 3: Chart what in the story is different from our school and what is the same. • Act 4: Write about p.193 • “…never knowing that he’d been my rescuer, that he’d brought me from Mary Fortune’s territory into the ordinary world. • “…and she would not know.” • Write about what this means. • What is “wrong” with Mary Fortune’s world? • Why can’t she tell her mother what is happening in her life?

  5. Wednesday • Act 5: Write about something you look forward to and something you dread. Tell why! • Act 6: Vocabulary (homework): Look up and write definitions of the vocabulary words and one sentence using each word (due Friday). • Act 7: Read “The Bridge”. Who? What? When? Why? How? • Readers’ Theater – last page

  6. Friday • 25 minutes of SSR • Then make a cover for all your activities from the past week. On the cover, include the names of the two stories we read this week, and an image of something representing each story. Make your cover colorful and creative! Then staple it on top of your week’s activities – stack pages neatly together and staple in the upper left-hand corner.
