  2. What is CDP? • Company registered in England – 3700 global members • US registered charity. Sponsor liaison is Rockefeller Philantropy Advisors • Mission: Collect & distribute high quality info to investors, corps & gov’ts to prevent “dangerous climate change”

  3. How does CDP work? • Initiated Supply Chain Program in 2007 to promote greenhouse gas management in industry • Supply Chain Leadership Collaborative (SCLC) formed to understand supply chain GHG reduction activities • Electronics members include HP Acer, Dell, IBM and Juniper

  4. What “carbon” (CO2) emissions are reportable? 3 Scopes of GHG Emissions • 1 = directly occurring from sources owned or controlled by company (includes co owned/controlled vehicles) • 2 = indirect from production of electricity consumed by company • 3 = other indirect from activities but from sources now owned or controlled by the company. E.g. goods transport & contractors

CDP Questionnaire Sample Questions • How is your company exposed to regulatory (or physical, or general) risks related to climate change? • How do current or anticipated regulatory (or physical or general) requirements on climate change offer opportunities for your company? • Are you able to provide a breakdown of your direct and indirect emissions under Scopes 1 and 2 of the GHG protocol and to analyse your electricity consumption? • Does your company have a GHG emissions reduction plan in place? • Which Board Committee or executive body has overall responsibility for climate change?
