  2. DEFINITION .Story telling is the human action whether verbal or visual that conveys thoughts and feelings. .It is as fluid as water taking many shapes and forms from dance to sculpture

  3. HISTORY In many ancient cultures oral story telling was used to pass on culture from generation to generation to educate their children and to explain the world around them..

  4. IMPORTANCE It teaches a great deal about language, its narrative forms, how to interact with other people and how to live morally.

  5. ROLE OF PERENTS Parents should tell the stories that teach character to their young kids. These stories should not be offensive and should be violence free.

  6. ROLE OF GRANDPARENTS When grandparents choose to share stories of their lives with their grandchildren, these tales can help the two generations to feel closer to one another.

  7. ROLE OF TEACHER A montessori directress gives the children in her care a broad picture of the universe, increases their vocabulary by playing action games and exposes them to the spoken language by telling and discussing the stories in class.

  8. ROLE OF PARENTS Tell the stories from your personal life, they will feel that they are not alone in this world facing the problems. They will discuss their feelings, fears and emotions in a unique and more expressive style.

  11. CONCLUSION The long-recognized benefits of storytelling are just as strong today as in the past. This includes motivating kids to read more stories on their own, thus improving their reading skills and building their vocabulary. And it develops creativity and feelings of empathy for other people.
