  1. Prehistory 10,000 BC to 1400 Climate stability following the Ice Age in 10,000 BC created cultural changes. Hunter / Gathering becomes “civilizations” with agriculture. Increase knowledge and technology (irrigation!), and transportation. Agriculture (farming) and domestication (keeping animals)increases because population increased, need food. Fertile Crescent, Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Ancient China, Rome = ancient civilizations. Civilization = writing, social hierarchy, government, defense, trade.
