This strategy aims to ensure equal opportunities in Gaelic Games for individuals with disabilities and special needs. Clubs are encouraged to actively include such individuals in their programs, aligning with DSNI guidelines. The initiative comprises four key development strands: Coach Education, Regional Have a Go Days, School Blitzes, and a Coaching Booklet. The Coach Education Workshop Programme covers various units focusing on inclusion and practical application. Additionally, there are Have a Go events in schools, regional blitzes for players, and a proposal for school coaching schemes. The Coaching Booklet includes content on fundamental skills and adapted games. This strategy emphasizes the importance of inclusivity and accessibility in Gaelic Games.

Our Vision “All special needs and disabled people should have equal opportunity to partake in Gaelic Games to their full potential”
In order to attract people, clubs need to proactively plan the inclusion of people with disabilities in their programmes……should be done as part of the clubs development plan (DSNI guidelines 2006)
