Fitness Tests • You choose a fitness test you want to improve on • Everyone has to do the 3RM bench & 1 mile time trial • You need to set a goal & make a training plan • Fitness day- 20 mins with me, 50 on your own The Tests: 1. Timed mile 2. 3RM bench press 3. ‘Angie’ for time 4. 5 km time trial 5. Traditional blues challenge 6. 1500m Erg test 7. Any other suggested by you

  3. In small groups with people you are sitting near • Write a list of ‘fitness attributes’ • Once you have written your list, number them in order of importance

  4. From my University notes on Physical Fitness… PHYSICAL FITNESS: The capacity to do work. A functional quality of well-being that is influenced by and associated with participation in physical activity. The ability to perform muscular work satisfactorily. It is determined by the level of several attributes which are influenced by activity such as cardiovascular-respiratory endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and body composition. HEALTH RELATED FITNESS: Those components of fitness that exhibit a relationship with health status. PERFORMANCE-RELATED FITNESS: Those components of fitness that enable optimal work or sport performance.
