G5 HVIC: Next Generation HVIC Platform As part of the natural progression in IC evolution, International Rectifier is investing in the new G5 HVIC process to support the continued improvement of its HVICs, while keeping price under control. The G5 HVIC process allows for improvements in device capabilities, tighter specifications, temperature stability, functions/$, and the integration of previously unavailable features at an attractive price point. This new technology results in two categories of products: New G5 HVIC products, and G5 HVIC replacement products (G5 HVIC replacement products are pin-to-pin compatible with their predecessors).
