  2. Symptoms • People with asthma struggle with a situation when the airways tighten, inflame, or fill with mucus. • Coughing- usually at night • Wheezing • Shortness of breath • Chest tightness, pain, or pressure

  3. The Cause • The exact cause of Asthma is not known, but there are theories • Inherited tendency to develop allergies (atopy) • Certain respiratory infections during childhood • Contact with airborne allergies • Inflamed bronchial tube

  4. Treatment • Can be divided in to two category- Long term and short term • Long-Term Control: Medications are taken daily to maintain equilibrium • Short-Term Control: Medications are taken to achieve quick prompt reverse of an asthma • Medications are usually injected orally or by inhalation

  5. Prevention • You cant really prevent Asthma for it is passed through genes. Meet healthy parent • Take medications such as Chrolom and Nalcrom
