  7. Confucianism • According to Confucianism, people must respect each other and follow a code of conduct. • Respect must be shown to family members and between government officials and people.

  8. Confucianism • Above all, children were always supposed to respect their elders. This is called Filial Piety.

  10. Confucianism brings order • Confucianism helped the Chinese avoid conflict and live peacefully.

  11. Daoism • Another ancient philosophy in Ancient China, called “Daoism” says that people must learn to live in harmony, or agreement, with nature and their feelings.
