  2. Unit Format: • Unit format defines as : • It is an expression which includes the organization of the unit contents, shape, number of lesson activities and exercises.

  3. Unit Format: • *The characteristics of the format: • Sentences, paragraphs, short texts and long texts. • Pictures, colors and front size. • *The reasons for the different format of the stages: • 1. Students age. • 2.students needs. • 3.Academic and vocational.

  4. The three school stages: • Lower primary stage grade ( 1 - 4 ) • Upper primary stage grade ( 5 – 10 ) • Secondary stage grade ( 11 – 12 )

  5. Unit Format and Lesson :Format • The number of units differs from one stage to another. • The number of lessons in each unit differs from one stage to another.

  13. Obviously As we introduced before .. The lessons in all three stages do not have the same sequences of language skills and language aspects.

  14. Moving to, How many lesson does each textbook have? All the textbooks have the word lists at the end of the book.

  15. How many English Language Period are taught in UNRWA and Government schools every week?

  16. IS the number of lessons allocated for teaching English sufficient to the lessons in the book? • The number of the lessons allocated is sufficient to the lessons in the book. • We asked the teachers in UNRWA and government schools.

  17. What do English Language teachers say? • English teachers say that curriculum is not long, it is suitable and there is enough time to teach the curriculum. • They do not justify their answers. This is mean that they know how to plane and how to teach.

  18. English For Palestine • We learn from the experience of our presentation that English for Palestine develops Students’ abilities gradually to improve themselves.
