  2. IPAC Objectives • Reinforce a culture of transparency and good governance • Institutionalize accountability mechanisms • Support donor and aid harmonization around the issue of governance and transparency

IPAC in a Nutshell • 1 Multistakeholders Steering Committee, including two key Ministries • 1 Inter-Agency Technical Support Group • 10 Sectoral Multistakeholders Working Groups • 30 Anti-corruption and institutional strengthening recommendations • 98 Milestones to mark implementation progress –implemented with donor funding totaling over $14 millions • 16 Governmental focal points appointed • 3 Accountability workshops to follow up on the recommendations • Six months of implementation: 20% of activities completed; 70% in progress and 10% delayed • 1 Consortium of 15 CSOs for the independent audit of the recommendations

Results Highlights • The publication of a web-based user-friendly tool that will provide public access to budget information fed by the Financial Management Information System (SIGEF) • A web-based portal with monthly updates that will allow citizens to know the expected and actual electricity supply in each circuit: http://www.circuitos.gob.do • A new performance assessment framework for civil servants that will contribute to the professionalization of the public administration
