  4. Ombudsman • Mary E. Holmes BC-HCF • Purpose of ProgramAn Ombudsman serves as a link between a Coast Guard command and the families of the command. An Ombudsman assists families in locating resources, communicating information from the command to the families, and taking concerns of families to the command. National Department of Human Resource

  5. Media • Kent Whitaker, BC-HCN designs and fabricates U-tube videos such the current Aux Chief video that was posted in Chattanooga and posted again on the National face-book page. Future videos will expand offerings to new membership, air patrols, and vessel examinations. National Department of Human Resource

  6. Talent Bank Michael O'Connor, BC-HCE Interviews applicants for National positions within the HR Department. Interview applicants for National positions not specifically listed in the National Help Wanted! Refers qualified applicants to departments for future available positions. Maintains all applications and files for inspection by the Director. National Department of Human Resource

Professional Development • COMO Dante Laurino, BC-HCP • This Branch was created to support and develop Special Projects and professional development in all divisions of the national H- Department. Currently working on new programs to bring free benefits to our membership, assisting in the expansion of the Ombudsman program, and many other projects. National Department of Human Resource

  8. Statistics • Bess Tyner-BC-HCS • Develops and provide statistics requested for HR , Development, and National Departments. • Submits statistics for new members, recruitment, and retention as required. National Department of Human Resource

  9. Publications • Donald Lindberg, BC-HCM • This branch in instrumental in the on-going task of maintaining the Human Resources Department’s publications to ensure that they are kept current and accurate. It also cooperates with many other departments on manuals, on-line courses, etc. National Department of Human Resource
