  2. Objectives At the end of the workshop you will be able to: Understand and appreciate each others’ roles and responsibilities Understand and appreciate the challenges of each others’ roles Agree ways of working together in the future, for example, monthly discussions

  3. The workshop includes Discussion of your pre-workshop quiz and other tasks Presentation by a local leader around NHS developments Case studies to put evidence into practice Discussion of planning for the future and priority setting

  4. Ground rules (part 1) • The world won’t change in this 2 hour workshop • Confidentiality with regard to case studies brought with you, safe environment for you to discuss any issues without fear of judgement • Respect each other, when one person is talking listen and allow them to finish • No monologues. No one person should dominate the discussion, all should be able to contribute their thoughts, feelings and opinions

  5. Ground rules (part 2) • Timekeeping is vital to ensure prompt finish within the timescale of 2 hours so listen to your facilitators • This is not a clinical workshop, it is about working on your communication with each other • When looking at the case studies, go with the spirit of them. You might not work in this field

  20. Priority Setting Setting your priorities – what is important to you? Work in a GP/Pharmacist pair What issues are important to you? DDA, flu, VRA, Contraceptive services, primary/secondary care interface, polyclinics, repeat dispensing, out of hours service, care record access, (facilitator to add any local stuff), other things? 15 minutes to discuss and put up post-its
