  10. Projects Sanctioned • Two student projects have been sanctioned a fund of Rs. 10000/- each from the Kerala State Council of Science Technology and Environment. The projects are guided by Ms. Amitha Joy and Dr. AmbiliMechoor • Seven Student projects were submitted to KSCSTE • Projects have been submitted to DBT , CAReKeralam & an International Collaboration- • Outcome awaited

AWARDS AND PRIZES • Pinto Paul, Feba Jose & Anju Paul from sixth Semester bagged the second place in NEXUS 12; National level Technical Fest held at Sree Buddha College of Engineering, Pandalam on 9 February 2012 for their project titled “Bioremediation of odorous gas from the poultry litter by biofiltration. The award carried a prize money of Rs. 5000/- and certificates. • The working model project “The first ever bioreactor set up or the complete decolourization of textile dye effluent” by Nikitha, Balakrishnan , Anju P Anto, Mary Rose, Chaithra & Neethu Varghese guided by Ms. Megha P.M (Rs. 30,000/-) • Municipal waste water treatment using immobilized lipase by RemyaM.R,Geethu Sunny, JaslinP.James, CenjoChalissery, Sharon Sunny George (Rs. 4000/-) bagged prizes in various categories in CONJURA 2011 held at TKM Engg College Kollam • SangeetaGopal & Mariya Thomas _ 1st Prize in Tech Fest – Karunya University • Seby Antony & Cline Thomas – 1st Prize in Debate- Tech Fest Karunya University
