  1. The World Ends With You By: Katie Lawton

  2. What is this game? • A DS game made by the same team who made Kingdom Hearts • Is rated T for its more mature tone • Is well-liked for its battle system, story, and art

  3. Who made it? • Square Enix

  4. What is it about? • You control Neku, a boy who is thrown into the Reapers’ game • He has seven days to play, and must complete every mission given, or be erased • Meets with three partners throughout the game that help him

  5. Seven days? • *Insert The Ring joke* • Though it sounds like a short game, it is not • Even after beating it, there is a lot more things to do, such as Secret Reports

  6. Characters • Neku • Shiki • Beat • Rhyme • Joshua

  7. How does the battle system work? • You control Neku with the touch screen and can use the directional buttons to control your partner (or leave him/her on auto) • Use pins to unleash attacks

  8. Pins? • Neku cannot attack on his own • Pins have various effects, most of which are executed through the touch screen

  9. Any problems? • Some pins are difficult to activate • It can be hard to keep your mind on both Neku and his partner, and auto can be stupid • Some of the enemies have ridiculous amounts of HP/defense later (mainly ‘Taboo’ enemies)

  10. Worth buying? • If you like RPGs, games with good story or characters, fun and original battle systems, and an overall enjoyable experience… yes, get it!
