Coach Education • Goal: 30% of Siddis trainers take NIHF Trainer Course during 2011-2012 season • One trainer PER TEAM • Course will be hosted in Siddis, likely given by Kjell Erik Myreng, with others (Petter Thoresen, Me?) • MV Trainer Course – hosted by Siddis, given by NIHF MV Director Daniel Bjørnberg • Goal 5+ trainers take MV Course during 2011-2012 season • ** NIHF Intro to Coaching (u8-u10) offered in Nærbø 2.10.2011. Email me if interested

  3. Off-Ice TrainingAnd Culture • Introducing importance of warm-up and cool-down • Age-appropriate training • Raining? Try a jacket! • Lack of ice makes off-ice more important • Stickhandling, passing, shooting, coordination, etc. • Off-ice drill bank (contributions from everyone!) • Social aspect of hockey

On-Ice TrainingAnd Culture • Goal: To be ONE CLUB with many teams • Club-wide standards • Clear development 'Road' that players will travel • Clear, age-appropriate expections • Teaching the skills, and the GAME, not the drills • Drill Bank (from me, with contributions from all) • Purposeful Practice

Goalie Education • Goal 5+ trainers take MV Course during 2011-2012 season • Goalie ice (one for younger kids, one for older kids) once per week → each team will provide shooters • Goalie-specific drill bank • Set up Siddis Goalies Facebook page – kids get to know the other goalies, have place to talk, ask questions, etc. • Acquire equipment?
