  3. Proposal The Arts and Societies areas and Executive Committees have been merged to form one committee under the Societies banner and will run under one Code of Conduct. The chart below details this new structure of the combined Executive Committee, with Arts and Societies running under one Code of Conduct and Executive Committee. 2. Executive Committee Structure

All the information you need is here: http://www.bathstudent.com/socs/exec/ Generic Executive Responsibilities: The core functions of the Societies Sub-group are to: - Represent students involved in the Societies Area both to the Sabbatical Team, Activities Staff, University and the public. - Work hard to improve the experience of students involved in the Societies Area - Discuss, contribute to and pass policy relating to the running of the Societies Area and the Executive - Handle/Discuss any disciplinary matters regarding society behaviour and form the Disciplinary Committee for such matters if necessary - Implement and complete the Executive Development Plan throughout the year - Administer the Societies Special Request Fund and Society Alumni Fund Applications 3. New Role Descriptions Treasurers: - Signing off Society Financial Request Forms and Invoices regularly in the Activities Office - Monitoring/Identifying Society Spending - Encouraging Society Spending Publicity Officer: - Collating articles from Societies about their events and activities for IMPACT and other Student Media Groups - Helping promote all publicity outlets available to Societies Societies Chair - Chairing Executive Meetings - Designing the General Meeting presentation with the VP A&D - Co-ordinating the Activities of the Societies Executive - Ensuring Area Events are organised and offering support as required Area Officer: - Checking and replying to emails regularly - Meeting regularly with Societies - Helping Societies meet all aspects of their Development Plans - Principal Organiser for the area events - Representing Societies to the rest of the Executive Committee

  5. The Subgroup Constitution defines what the Societies subgroup is and what it does. 4. Associate Members Defines the rules more specifically to societies 8. Audition Procedure Outlines a fair Audition Procedure for all societies 9. Traffic Light Tier System Societies own personal use so they know how well they are doing 10. Breaking the Code Describes the 3-point warning system Makes it easier to monitor/help societies not meeting the mark Enables clearer identification of priorities in terms of student experience 8.
