  2. KARANLIK ÇAĞ • Karanlık Çağ bazı Avrupalılar tarafında Orta Çağ'ın ilk dönemine (476-1000) verilen addır. Roma İmparatorluğu'nun yıkıldığı tarihten başlayarak Avrupa'nın tekrar güçlenmeye başladığı 1000 yılı civarına kadar olan dönemi kapsar.

  3. İLK ÇAĞ • M.Ö. 3500'de yazının bulunmasıyla başlayıp 476'da Batı Roma İmparatorluğu'nun yıkılmasına kadar devam eden tarihi dönemdir

  4. ORTA ÇAĞ • Orta Çağ, Avrupa tarihinin geleneksel ve şematik olarak üç bölüme ayrılışında, ortada kalan çağa verilen isimdir.

  5. YENİ ÇAĞ • 1453'te İstanbul'un 1789Fransız ihtilali ile sona erer Fethi ile başlar.

  6. YAKIN ÇAĞ • 1789 Fransız İhtilali'nden günümüze kadar devam eden zaman dilimidir
