  1. El díaquecumplíseisaños • El díade mi cumpleañosme despertéa lasocho. Estabaemocionante! Hacíasol y calor, un díaperfecto para ir a la playa y disfrutar del océano. Bajélasescaleras y entréen la cocina. Mama estabapreparando mi desayunofavorito, panqueques. Ella me besóy me dijo “felizcumpleañoshijo.” Despuésmi papáy hermanosentraron en la cocina. Aun (even) el perroteníaun globoatado al collar! Sabíaqueiba a ser un buendía. Tenía6 anos! • The day of my birthday I woke up at 8. I was excited! • It was sunny and hot, a perfect day to go to the beach and enjoy the ocean. • I went down the stairs and went in the kitchen. • Mom was fixing my favorite breakfast, pancakes. • She kissed me and told me “Happy Birthday son.” • After, my dad and brothers came in the kitchen. Even the dog had a balloon tied to his collar! • I knew that it was going to be a good day. • I was 6 years old!
