  1. 2007 MK02 Outcomes • Decision makers sensitized on role of institutional arrangements for enhancing smallholders access to market in Vietnam through a policy dialogue co-convened with Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FAO PPLPI) • Capacity building on dairy technologies for farmers and extension agents, CFC Central America countries • Research outputs taken up by State government in their plan to increase competitiveness of smallholders dairy producers in Assam • Participation to the task force on dairy breeding policy in Kenya

  2. 2008 MK02 Output Targets • Best bet technologies and strategies for increased smallholder dairy competitiveness and participation in markets, documented and promoted in NE Asia (Assam) • Strategies to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of smallholder producers in selected countries of W Africa through increased production and sale of indigenous and other cattle, small ruminants and poultry comprehensively evaluated in the context of market incentives. • Current smallholder pig production technologies and best practices for increased smallholder competitiveness and participation in markets identified and documented in SE Asia (Cambodia and SW China)
