Nordic Powerlifting federation”NPF congress 2012” § 4Order of business At every congress of the NPF the following will be the order of business: • The president opens the congress • Approve the order of business • Elect speaker and secretary for the congress • Approve the minutes of the last congress • Previous years report • Previous years financial report • approve freedom of responsibility for the NPF board • Set fees (annual nation member fee and nomination fees for benchpress and powerlifitng) • Set rates for travel expcence • Action on proposals • Time and place for future championships and congress • Election (see §5) • Any other business

Set fees (annual nation member fee and nomination fees for benchpress and powerlifting) • Annual fee: 550€ (Euro) • Nomination fees: • Powerlifting: 400€ for a national team or 45€ per lifter up to 8 lifters • Benchpress: 300€ for a national team or 35€ per lifter up to 8 lifters 9. Set rates for travel expenses

Action on proposals • Proposals to the by-laws • §4 – add new agenda point – budget approval • §5 – add one role to be nominated – Auditor for the NPF • §6 – rotating administration of the NPF • §8 – alignment to the IPF technical rules • §9 – change timing of the Junior nordic championship due to changes in the European calendar for juniors • Nordic championships to be sanctioned by the IPF • §10 – include nordic standard records • See separate document with all the proposals for the By-laws included

Nordic Powerlifting federation”The way forward” §6 – rotating administration of the NPF • Proposal for the nordic congress (as discussed in Oslo april-2012) • Administration of the NPF including financial responsibility should be run by one member nation in a two-year period. The President from the respective nation will also be President of the NPF and the General Secretary of the nation will also be handling the General Secretary responsibility of the NPF. • Each country will be responsible for administrating and leading the NPF board for a period of two years. • The two years period starts on the day after the open Nordic Championship, and lasts until the next Nordic championship is organised by the nation administrating the NPF. This means that when next open Nordic Championship organiser is chosen, the respective nations President and GS is elected at the same time to take the responsibility for the NPF for the next two years period.

Nordic Powerlifting federation”The way forward” • At the NPF congress in 2012 Iceland is proposed as organiser of open Nordic championship in 2014 • Iceland gets the President role for the NPF • Iceland gets the General secretary role for the NPF • Financial duties • Each member country of the NPF pays their annual membership fees to the administrating member federation (i.e Iceland) • Iceland is responsible for travel expences to the nordic championships for the President and the General secretary according to the by-laws • Iceland is responsible for expences and ordering of medals for all Nordic championships while running the NPF Rotating administration duties for the NPFexample

Nordic Powerlifting federation”NPF congress 2012” §9 Nordic championships to be sanctioned by the IPF Proposal ISLAND: • Nordic Championships are sanctioned by IPF and doping tests are executed in accordance with the rules of IPF and WADA. • Reasons for the proposal: • The Nordic federations are strongly commited to anti-doping work in sports. This should be reflected in NPFs by-laws and prosedures. Sanction by IPF will heighten the Nordic Championships credibility and reputation. Results from Nordic championships will appear on IPFs ranking list and international records will be registered.

Election (see §5) • The NPF board is elected for two (2) years and the election takes part at the congress. • President, please nominate • General secretary, please nominate • National representatives for the member federations: • Sweden • Norway • Iceland • Finland • Denmark • Auditor, please nominate • Webmaster, proposal – Gry Eek (Iceland) • Record registrar, proposal – Timo Heiskanen • The newly elected NPF board starts to act the first Monday after the congress is held.
