  1. HomeNewsTop Stories Illegal fox hunting 'not a priority' for police By Bob Roberts 16/05/2009 Fox hunting is an activity involving the tracking, chase, and sometimes killing of a fox, traditionally a red fox, by trained foxhounds or other scent hounds, and a group of followers led by a master of foxhounds, who follow the hounds on foot or on horseback. We were given many choices to pick for our contentious issues and I decided to pick Fox Hunting. I chose this topic because I though fox hunting is a very contentious issue at the moment, and lots of people have different opinions on the topic. I included a video and a survey from my classmates views.

  2. This is an example of my for Fox Hunting paragraph: There are many reasons why fox hunting should be allowed, here are some of the most controversial issues. Shooting foxes doesn't always kill foxes outright. They manage to get away and then suffer a slow painful death. So as you can see, first I introduced the general idea and then I stated different points for Fox Hunting Well there were lots of different opinions from my classmates when I set up the survey but before that I wrote my arguments for this issue and against it also. In each paragraph I talked about the general idea. Then I talked about the different points that are happening a now with Fox Hunting and things in the past and why Fox Hunting should be for/against.

  3. Well there are a few ways I did my research for my topic, collecting different sources of information, reading about the topic in books etc is what helped me. I mainly used the internet and books to collect my research as well as visiting different websites and comparing them on what they each said. But what I found out when doing my research was that you can’t just read something of one website or book and then write it down you have to see what other people and websites have said about it. I think this was the main idea of Wikispaces, for us to learn about reliability and comparison in research Sometimes the information didn’t jump right out of the page at me. I had to give some thought on how I was going to narrow down the searching and what books I had to choose

  4. As you can see from looking at this graph the answers are quite even but at the same time, overall the answers do not support Fox Hunting. I received these answers by asking four of my classmates the questions on the right.

  5. My opinion was really that I do not support Fox Hunting and I wrote this on my Wikispace page stating why I believed this. This is what I wrote on my Wiki page: “In my opinion, I think fox hunting is morally wrong and people who hunt for them should be arrested. The reason for my argument is because many people do take part in fox hunting to control the fox population because they are pests and even considered as 'vermin'. But there are some people who take part in the sport because they see it as a fun sport, which is wrong in every way imaginable. Many people would prefer it if the fox population was controlled in a more humane way, such as shooting rather than being ripped apart by hounds. No matter which way you look at it, fox hunting at the end of the day is classed as animal cruelty and should be banned or have some laws against it such as a ban against hunting with hounds” So in general I discussed both points and then wrote why I believe Fox Hunting is wrong

  7. I have found out from doing this project on Wikispaces that you cannot trust everything you read. You have to check out the facts for example, the person who has written it and where the information has come from. This was the main idea of the project. So from doing this project I have learnt how to insert audio’s video clips and more. I have learnt more about Fox Hunting and have learnt what other people have said about it from doing my survey.
