On February 5, 2011, two bomb attacks in Salaheddin province, Iraq, resulted in 16 injuries, predominantly among Shiite pilgrims. The first explosion, a car bomb, occurred inside a bus station, injuring 11 individuals. The second incident involved a roadside bomb targeting a bus carrying pilgrims. Sunni extremists have increasingly targeted Shiite pilgrims, highlighting the ongoing sectarian violence in Iraq since 2003.
