  17. Organizations & Allocations • Purpose: Review request by organizations for official GSS recognition and request for funds from those organizations. Additionally oversees the conference and thesis reimbursement fund (the Verhosek Fund aka V-Fund) • Work on this committee could focus on expanding the advertisement of our services, as well as work to revise funding to student organizations, and student reimbursements.   18. Diekhoff Award • Purpose: Solicits and evaluates nominations for the Diekhoff Award and makes a final recommendation to the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies for Diekhoff Award recipients. • These prestigious awards are given to the winners at convocation. • Traditionally, two outstanding graduate teachers are recognized for their efforts. • New this year, the award has been expanded to also recognize two outstanding graduate mentors. • Wouldn’t you like to help reward the outstanding faculty who impact life at CWRU? • Interested? Health Care • Purpose: To provide graduate student representation on matters pertinent to Health insurance provided to the student population by the University. • Health care is an important topics to all graduate students, and our recent forum has shown that there are many issues related to student health care which can be improved. • The goal of the committee is to determine which health care issues are most important to graduate students, and communicate those to the university. • Wouldn’t you like improved healthcare on campus? • Interested?
