  2. Transversal • A transversal is a line thatcrosses 2 lines (mostlypararell) at 2 differentpoints.

  3. Corresponding, alternate exterior, alternate interior and consecutive interior angles. • Correspondingangles are 2 angles in a transversal with 2 pararelllines, that are in thesame position. • Alt. Interior angles are 2 anglesthat are in theoppositesidebutinsidethe transversal withpararells. • Alt exterior angles are 2 oppositeangles in a trans. Withpararells. But in theoutside. • Sameside interior angles are 2 anglesthat share thesameside in the interior of a transversal with 2 pararelllines.

  5. Parrarell Planes and Lines • Parrarelllines are linesthatgoforeverbutnevertouch. • Pararell planes are thesame as pararelllinesbutinsteadyou look at planes.

  7. Perpendicular trans. theorem Thisstatesthatifthere are 2 pararelllinesthat are cutby a perpendicular, itisperp. to a line, thenitisalsoperp. Totheother line.

  8. Alt. interior anglestheorem 1 2 • When 2 angles are alt. Interior angles, they are congruent. 3 4 • <6 and 3 are congruent • <5 and 4 are congruent 5 6 7 8

  9. Trans. Porperty in lines • Pararell: If 2 pararelllines are pararelltoanotherliaswellthenall of them are pararell. • Perpendicular: If 2 perp. Lines are perpendicular toanother line, thentheyall are perpenducular.

  11. Samesideint. < theorem 1 2 • Whentwoangles are in thesameside and are located in the interior of thelines, they are supplementary (180). 3 4 • <3 and 5 form a 180 degreesangle and they are supplementary. • <4 and 6 are alsosupplementarymeaningtheymake a 180 degreesangle. 5 6 7 8
