Introduction Introduction Objectives & Methods Results & Data Analysis Conclusion Discussion • IPPE Clinical acts as an introduction to the APPE rotation for P3 students. • Students are tasked with writing a SOAP note, answering a DI question, and presenting a patient case • Students are then assessed on their ability to complete these task concisely and competently through a case presentation with a faculty grader

Results Introduction Objectives & Methods Results & Data Analysis Conclusion • A total of 318 students were evaluated on their IPPE Clinical SOAP note performance in three separate years, 2015-2016 (107 students), 2016-2017 (108 students) and 2017-2018 (103 students). • A high percentage of students were competent in their SOAP note presentation with 91%, 93% and 90% of students being competent for the years of 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 respectively.
