  2. Things you should know • Nathan Hale was a spy in the Revolutionary War. He was born in Coventry, Connecticut, 1755.When he was captured by the British soldiers, he said, “I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country.” In my opinion, that is very inspiring. He was pronounced the state hero of Connecticut in 1985.

  3. How he helped in the revolution • How he got into the British troops is because he disguised himself as a Dutch Schoolmaster. He was found out as a spy on September 21, 1776. The British found letters on him. He was sentenced to be hanged on September 22, 1776. He died when he was 21.
