  2. Results from smoking When smoking you can get: • Lung cancer and other types of cancer • Heart attacks and Strokes • Heart diseases • Blocked blood vessels • Sometimes limbs need to be amputated • Increases heart rate and blood pressure • Dizziness • Nausea • Weakened taste and smell • Watery eyes • Shortness of breath • Coughing • Takes even a longer time to recover from minor sicknesses

  3. Detail There are even more limitations from smoking. There aren’t any benefits because smoking is immensely bad for your health. If you want to know some more results, here are some: • Loss of concentration • Change of sleep patterns • Headaches • Tension • Etc

  4. Evidence from holy book of Quran These are a few things mentioned in the Quran about smoking. 1. Danger to your health: Allah says, "...make not your own hands contribute to your destruction..." (Surah al-Baqarah 2:195); "...nor kill yourselves..." (Surah al-Nisaa 4:29). 2. Danger to your family’s health: n the Qur'an, Allah says: "Those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly bear on themselves a glaring sin" (Surat al-Ahzaab 33:58).

  5. More evidences from Quran 3. Waste of money: Allah says, "...But spend not wastefully (your wealth) in the manner of a spendthrift. Verily spendthrifts are brothers of the devils...” {Surah al-Israa’ 17:26-27} 4. How to Quit? Trust in Allah's words: "...When you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah.  For Allah loves those who put their trust in Him.  If Allah help you, none can overcome you; if He forsakes you, who is - after that - that can help you?  In Allah, then, let believers put their trust" (Surah Al-'lmran 3:159-160). And… remember the words of Allah:  "And those who strive hard in Our Cause, We will certainly guide them to Our Paths, for verily Allah is with those who do right” (Surah al-Ankabut 29:69).

  6. Examples from our life Honestly, I don’t have any experiences or examples from my life about smoking. But, some other people I know do. Some lost their family members when they were very young because of smoking and wish they could have helped them. Some of their loved ones are very sick.

  7. Why do people do this? • Some people think that smoking makes you look “cool” and “macho”. Others uses it as a way to reduce stress, but forget the fact that it’s very harmful for your health. Some people are forced/persuaded by friends or colleagues. Finally, some smoke maybe because they are influenced by their parents, friends or follow a famous celebrity.
