Tobacco smoke destroys an important brain enzyme MAOB which is vital for breaking down excess amount of DOPAMINE – a neurotransmitter that triggers pleasure – seeking behavior.
Smokers have decreased level of MAOB and abnormally high levels of DOPAMINE.
