  2. Required Attire for Graduation • All seniors who march in the the graduation procession must wear the regulation cap and gown • You can choose white or black for your cap and gown

  4. White Cap & Gown Dress: solid white, no print, the hem of which must not be longer than the gown Pants: solid white dresspants (No Docker-like, khaki, or denim material) Tie: solid white Shirt: solid, pure white, long-sleeved, button-down dress shirt

  14. Sock Rules • White socks are only for sports • Dress shoes require dress socks • Match your socks with your pants, not your shoes

  16. Important!! The only honor cord that can be worn is the CSF cord. No additional adornments will be accepted.

  20. Very Important PSA To participate in the graduation ceremony, ALL obligations must be cleared by Wednesday, June 5, at 10 AM

Cap & Gown Distribution • Wednesday, May 29 • 2-3 PM • Library To receive your cap and gown on this day, the following must be completed: Graduation Activities Agreement form must be submitted to Front Office on or before Wednesday, May 22 to receive your cap and gown • ALL obligations must be paid or completed by May 24 @ 3 PM Note: after May 29, all caps and gowns should be picked up from assigned Counselor

  23. Senior Awards Night • Wednesday, May 29 • 7 PM • SPHS Auditorium

  24. Baccalaureate What is Baccalaureate? • Typically held the Sunday before graduation • Special speakers (like community leaders, faculty members, students) • Speakers are often intermixed with musical performances • Approximately one hour • Sunday, June 2, 5 PM • Report time: 4:15 PM, Main Gym • Auditorium • Family is invited to attend • Required attire is cap and gown (consider this a dress rehearsal for actual graduation ceremony) DO NOT bring purses, phones, sunglasses, or anything you have to carry

Graduation Practice • Practice is MANDATORY • Reschedule employment hours, appointments, etc., if necessary • Your graduation seating assignment will be given at this rehearsal • Graduation tickets (6) will be given to each senior at the conclusion of graduation practice • Additional practice will be scheduled the following day, only if necessary • IMPORTANT: Seniors will lose chosen seat given at practice if Textbook, Financial, Community Service, and Saturday School obligations are not cleared by Tuesday, June 4, @ 1 PM

  26. Graduation Tickets • You will get 6 graduation tickets at practice • Ask friends for their unused tickets should you need more • Return unused tickets to Student Services office

  29. Tips for Graduation Guests • 4:15 PM: the north and south side stadium entrances at Meridian will open for ticket holders • Have your family and friends arrive early and enter together; seating is first come, first served; stands will fill from the center out • A graduation ticket for each guest (including young children) is required for entrance • Please have guests stay in their seats during the entire ceremony • No food or drink in the stadium, except for bottled water • Noisemakers and items that block the view of others will not be allowed in the stadium • A professional photography studio has been hired to take pictures of each graduate receiving his/her diploma. Otherwise, personal photography will happen from the stands • A video of the SPHS graduation ceremony will be available for purchase at sphsasb.org • Guests exit to the baseball field immediately following the Ceremony (south side of stands exits south and north side of stands exits north) • No access to the track or field from the stands

  30. Tips for Handicap Seating • Only the handicapped individual + one guest are allowed on the field-level handicap seating area, wearing flat-soled shoes only. Overflow seating at the track level and on the periphery of the stadium is also available • No food or drink in the stadium, except for bottled water • Handicapped seating guests may enter at 4 PM through the North Meridian gate (concession stand area) • Email Mr. Speck by May 31 for handicap accommodations: dspeck@spusd.net
