  1. What does your “Package” say about you? • There are many things in life that we have no control over. One thing you can take charge of is your image. You actually have a monopoly on it. A product's packaging often determines its marketability and success; your overall image serves as your packaging in the marketplace of your industry.

  2. Get an Up-to-Date Look! • A study by Clairol reports that women who wear make-up enjoy higher salaries. • It's a reality -- people who look good make more money, get promoted faster and more often, and are most likely to enjoy lifelong success.

  9. Complexion Perfection • Keep makeup neutral. • A little is better than none for a polished look. • Achieving flawless skin—without looking all made-up—is a matter of building a strong foundation – good skin! (and we don’t mean the stuff in the bottle). • Gently exfoliate in the morning with a scrub and apply a moisturizer before makeup. • Good skin care is crucial for men and women!

  10. You Must Have A Good Foundation • Every woman needs foundation – whether it is a liquid, powder, or cream. • It is meant to even out skin tone, not actually conceal anything. • To camouflage blemishes or other red areas, choose a concealer and apply it before your foundation. • No one should be afraid of powder. It will work with the foundation and concealer and feel and look velvety.

  11. The “Eyes” Have it • Do your eyes look tired, puffy, or dark? • Use a good eye cream or moisturizer. • Downplay dark circles with a light coat of concealer • Use eye shadows in neutral shades such as tan, brown, and cream. • A little bit of shimmer is fine, but stay away from “frosts” • Eyeliner can dramatically call attention to your eyes. • Well-groomed brows show that you pay attention to details. • Use mascara, this will make your eyes look more open and awake! • Applying a little bit of blush makes everyone look healthier. • Use a bronzer for a natural-looking, healthy glow.

  12. Lipstick Longevity • Use a Lip Balm and let it sink in for five minutes. • Start by prepping lips with a liner over entire mouth—it creates a base for your color. • It defies logic, but the more lipstick you put on, the more likely that it will move on. • Blotting lifts away some of the excess lip color. • Use a sheer lipstick to give lips a hint of color. • Wear lipstick, not lip gloss. Gloss might be too shiny and youthful - depending on the appointment.

  13. And now for the MEN! • Fingernails - Clean fingernails • Cover any tattoos that you may have. Remember, be conservative! • Cologne – wear it, but wear it modestly! • Do not use your cell phone as a watch during an appointment. • Consider shaving beard or mustache. Facial hair if worn, should be well-groomed

  14. Men’s Skin Care • Cleanse Daily - a formula that’s strong enough to remove the workday’s dirt and grime, but gentle enough to use twice a day. • Moisture. Keeping your skin adequately hydrated will also prevent it from looking dull and prematurely aged. • Use Eye Cream. Whether you’re in your 20s or your 40s, an anti-aging product is a smart addition to your daily skincare plan, giving you a fresh and youthful appearance both on the job and off.

  15. “Men have become increasingly conscious of the perks associated with looking good. They have a heightened awareness that looking good may provide them an advantage in the workplace as well as in their personal lives…” says Karen Grant, The NPD Group.

  16. Good Luck! • Lastly, look at yourself in the mirror andtake five deep breaths. Tell yourself that you are the best person for the job and smile as brightly as you can. • Remember, the interview is a process – so make it a fun and exciting journey. • True beauty & Confidence is a combination of looking your best on the outside and feeling your best on the inside. • All of the primping and grooming doesn't mean a thing if you aren't excited to be there – so Smile and Good luck!
