Strategic Professional Development for Enhanced Student Engagement and Literacy Outcomes

This document outlines the professional development (PD) plan presented by the C.E. Hanna ELL-PDA Leadership Team. Our focus is to align ARI-PALS, ELL-PDA, and AMSTI initiatives with SF Reading through strategic teaching. Key components include establishing model classrooms, improving student engagement with language/content objectives, and implementing differentiated instruction via the RtI process. We aim to leverage best practices, cross-curricular planning, and peer observations to raise student performance expectations and achieve long-term strategic teaching across all content areas.
